The EFL Unit is
a test centre for the English Language examination known as
the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
The examination is held each month, subject to demand, and takes
place on a Saturday. Test dates planned for 2006/2007:

Note: “not GT” means that the General Training module is not offered on these dates. Please contact the EFL Unit ( ielts@gla.ac.uk) to check that the test will be held on the date listed.
Guidance
for candidates:

Tests
in this centre are held each month, on a Saturday.
The test dates are fixed worldwide.

If
you decide to sit the test, contact the EFL Unit (ielts@gla.ac.uk)
for an application form which you must complete in person
and return promptly at least SIX WEEKS in advance.
There is only a limited number of places available for each
test.

Except
in the case of illness for which a medical certificate is
supplied, no change of date or refund will normally be considered,
so please choose your test date carefully. For the
year 2007, the test fee will be £95.

Test
results will be sent to you within two weeks, and copies
of the results will be sent by us to the institution of
your choice. Candidates should indicate clearly on
the form if they do NOT wish their results to be sent elsewhere.

The EFL Unit offers
part-time IELTS preparation courses in exam techniques. For further information,
